    We have several ongoing studies in Costa Rica. I collect fishes from the region to support molecular systematic projects. And, with Jessica Lynch Alfaro and Link Olson, I am studying phylognetics and phylogeography of families of Neotropical primates.

    For the past two years I have spent part of the field season at the Smithsonian's Carrie Bow Cay Marine station in Belize. My colleagues and I are using common wrasses to study the fitness consequences of variation in functional traits.
